I have always enjoyed art. While growing up I tried my hand at weaving, macrame, knitting, crocheting, ceramics & soft sculpture. Nothing held my interest until my sister introduced me to stained glass in 2002. I have been playing with glass ever since I made my first pink heart.
The mirrors came from a broken wall mirror that I saved. Several months later, I cut the shape of a face and added brown wavy hair and a large pink bow.
A friend saw her hanging in my bedroom and asked if I would make one for her godchild. She brought me a photo of the girl, and I made a mirror of the child with braids, a blouse, sweater, buttons. It was so much fun, and the little girl liked it. This simple idea became a unique gift for my grandson, my daughters, son-in-law. And now I want to offer this gift to anyone who has a favorite photo they would like to replicate in mirror and stained glass.
A truly unique, “one of a kind” gift appropriate for anyone. It will become a keepsake to the receiver, recalling a memory of their youth while gazing in the mirror.
Generic mirror images are for sale and also custom orders. Find a photo which you want to make into a mirror. Contact me for a personalized quote for your project.
Party Boy
I just finished “Aloha Girl”. She measures 13 1/2″ x 11″. The flowers are overlaid across her shoulders & the hibiscus behind her ear creates dimension with the wired pistil of opalescent beads.
